She Makes Noise is an annual one-night music festival celebrating the spectrum of music created by women and femme-presenting artists in Victoria. Following the inaugural festival in 2025, She Makes Noise 2026 will showcase Girls Night In, harminia, Kaylah Thomas, LÂLKA, Sadie Mustoe, representing a cross-section of Australian culture and a variety of musical genres including jazz, alternative rock, indie, folk and electronic pop.
She Makes Noise cultivates a safe, supportive space where emerging artists can be vulnerable in their performances, and curious audiences can discover connection by expanding their musical horizons. Join us on September 19th at the Bergy Bandroom to support women in music and have a fun night.

Girls Night In
Girls Night In is an all-female jazz initiative based in Melbourne/Naarm, dedicated to creating a supportive and collaborative space for women in jazz. The project brings together female musicians to write, rehearse, jam, and perform, fostering confidence, creativity, and meaningful artistic connections. In response to the gender imbalance that continues to shape many jazz spaces, Girls Night In aims to amplify women's voices, challenge outdated stereotypes, and increase the visibility of female artists. By building a strong and inclusive community, the initiative empowers women to lead, create, and thrive while contributing to a more diverse and representative future for Melbourne's jazz scene.
LÂLKA
LÂLKA is a classically trained artist gone rogue. Her music is an electrifying blend of glitchy textures with brutal club beats, euphoric synths and warped pop instincts.
Her 2021 debut EP, 'The Way Music Looks', shattered expectations, followed by the critically acclaimed 'Euphoria' and 'Romance + Rebellion'. Tracks from these releases found a home on Spotify's hottest playlists and Apple Music's New Music Daily, while tastemakers (triple j, Mixmag Asia, The Guardian AU, BBC Radio 6, NME) across the globe lauded her unique sound. Her 2024 EP 'Willfire' dives headfirst into club territory, delivering raw, kinetic energy that commands movement on the dancefloor while weaving in emotive melodies that hit straight to the heart.
Known for her emotionally charged live sets, LÂLKA keeps the audience guessing with unexpected shifts, blending hi-fi electronic production with live instrumentation. She's rocked major festivals and opened for superstars like Charli XCX, Ninajirachi, Genesis Owusu and What So Not.
harminia
harminia is a Melbourne-based alternative rock and visual kei artist influenced by ’90s–2000s grunge and shoegaze. Her sound moves between airy melancholy and distortion-driven catharsis, grounded in emotionally direct songwriting.
Known for her theatrical, high-intensity live presence, harminia delivers immersive performances that build from fragile stillness into explosive release. Following the release of her debut single, “anamorphosis,” her sound expands into layered, guitar-driven crescendos — melodic riffs that ache, swell, and resolve into moments that feel vast and almost transcendent.
Kaylah Thomas
Dive into the world of Kaylah Thomas, an indie-pop artist from the heart of country Victoria. More than just a singer-songwriter, she’s a storyteller - one who believes her vulnerability isn’t just part of her artistry; it’s her defining strength.
Inspired by Olivia Rodrigo, Maggie Rogers, and Sam Fender, Kaylah blends indie, folk, and pop influences, creating music that linger and lyrics that cut deep. Her journey has taken her from being a three-time Principal Vocalist in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular - performing to 14,000 at Hisense Arena and a national TV audience - to earning a Bachelor of Music from the Victorian College of the Arts, where she explored interactive composition.
Establishing herself as an emerging artist, Kaylah’s Her debut EP, Tiny World, is an enchanting indie-pop body of work, weaving together themes of forgiveness, reflection, and resilience. Kaylah has crafted a style that hits hard and hits home, with standout singles like Try and Letting Go (Of You), Kaylah continues to captivate audiences, most recently performing an original work as part of Futuration, a sold-out show of 875 guests at Crown Casino.

Sadie Mustoe
Sadie Mustoe, a contemporary pop-indie-folk storyteller from Melbourne delivers twisting melodies that draw audiences into a world of magical realism. The Queenscliff Music Festival’s ‘Foot-in-the-Door’ 2022 winner, Sadie, creates something organic that could be the soundtrack for any modern fantasy story; full of colour, epic sounds and evocative lyrics.
After a five-month university exchange in England, Sadie released her first 2024 single ‘Power In This World’, engaging her 30K+ TikTok followers by sharing the entire recording journey as she travelled Europe. The song has since gained 25,000 streams on Spotify. She followed this with the success of her second 2024 single, ‘I Find You Interesting’, played on Triple J Unearthed radio. ‘White Flag’, 2026, sees Sadie use her unique chords on guitar, her experimental techniques on violin and enchanting voice alongside her incredible band to create something entirely unique and new. She is the up and coming Australian artist to keep your eyes on.
