Cheersquad Records & Tapes and Desert Highways are proud to present the long awaited new album In Parallax from Link Meanie's DIY pop project Bagful of Beez. Link Meanie - aka Link McLennan - has always been known for his love of pop, even when screaming his guts out and jumping around like a loon in The Meanies.

In Parallax captures the band as a real live band for the first time (no more solo DIY nonsense), with Link on guitar and vocals, Matthew Cotter on drums (Even), Meghan Maike (MM & The Cactus Flowers) on vocals, keys, and sampler, and Chip Wardale (Snapshot, Rat Kangaroo) on bass.

Bagful Of Beez are impossible to contain in a phrase, and so is this album. In Parallax is a freewheeling romp through the familiar yet unnamable as it crisscrosses, bends and blurs genres. A healthy dose of 60s-psych, tip-toeing into chamber-pop, guitars driving through layers of saturated harmonies.

Joining Bagful Of Beez to celebrate the album’s release are The Pink Tiles and Murphnick Band - no strangers themselves to pop sensibilities laced with psychedelia.

The Pink Tiles are a beloved Melbourne garage-pop outfit known for their infectious blend of 60s bubblegum pop, fuzzy power-pop riffs, and quirky humour.

Murphnick Band draws from Nick Murphy’s (The Anyones) catalogue of solo albums, traversing alt country, psych folk rock & harmony-drenched post new wave.
