Join Ripship and friends for an afternoon of music on Saturday the 14th March at the Bergy Bandroom, as they raise funds to take their sonic concoction to Europe later this year. With support from Amamelia, Convoy, and Lifetime Warranty, this genre-bending showcase of artists from NZ and AU is not to be missed.

Ripship are a sci-fi psych-rock duo, now based in Melbourne, who since 2019 have been questing to become the loudest two-piece band in the Southern Hemisphere. With a room-shaking, battle-tested live performance, Ripship have headlined multiple nation-wide tours across New Zealand, and have opened for rock royalty such as Jack White and Osees. Sugary hooks wax and wane to reveal wonky polyrhythmic grooves, guitar tones growl and shimmer, and lyrics loop in infinite recursion, spelling omens for the end of the world.

Amamelia is the musical project of Amelia Berry, a musician and songwriter originally based in Aotearoa, but now living in Melbourne. Amamelia's music combines breaks normally found in Jungle & Drum & Bass with a sickly-sweet synthetic pop sensibility. Her music is like wearing a cucumber eyemask and sipping coffee in the sexiest club ever.

Lifetime Warranty play mostly midwesty emo riffs, though jazz and folk is not off the table. They will let you take a solo if you ask nicely. hailing from West New Zealand (Perth) Lifetime Warranty promises satisfaction is guaranteed.

Convoy is a new conglomeration of optimistic musicians from both NZ and Aus, functioning as a guitar-music percolator, you can expect shades of folk, post-rock and psychedelia on display at their debut live performance here at the Bergy.
