Step into the shadows as we celebrate World Goth Day May 22nd 2026 in all its dark glory at The Bergy Bandroom. BLACK PLANET presents a night of brooding basslines, haunting vocals, and velvet-draped atmosphere —where post-punk, darkwave, and gothic rock collide.

FEATURING LIVE MUSIC FROM:

EDEN - a defining voice in Darkwave and Post-Punk since 1988, delivering rich guitar textures, haunting vocals and powerful rhythmic drive.

VELATINE - Weaving aspects from the genres of Gothic, Darkwave, Post-Punk, Industrial and more; Velatine shift their music from what's expected making them hard to define.

FALSE ANIMAL - a three piece ensemble emerging from Melbourne’s industrial scene ready to bring noise, danceability and pure nastiness.

PALLIATIVE - The bastard son of the Sisters of Mercy and VNV Nation bringing guitar tinged melancholic anthems of loss and despair.

HUMAN INTRUSION - shaped by foundations of 80s post-punk and new wave with a sound that is distinctly their own – rooted in the past yet boldly forward-thinking.

And if that's not enough for you, interludes and introductions for the night will be provided by multi-disciplinary master SAŠHA ČUHA

Whether you’re a devoted creature of the night or just goth-curious, we dare you to touch a flickering flame. As Bauhaus once said: “Don't cower in night fright”
